Morning Prayer
Dear God, We thank you for waking us up this morning! We thank you for the privilege of being part of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. What a gift the church has been, is, and will be to our members and our wider community. We know that this was, is, and will be done, not through our power, but through yours. You work within us, and for this we give thanks. Today as we pray for the vision for SSUMC, we ask that our imaginations run wild. That you would break through with hope, with power, and with a vision that can only come with your power. A vision larger than we could ask for or imagine. As we spend a few moments in silence, guide our imaginations and help us trust in your power for what’s next. We pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Evening Prayer
Holy One, As we reflect on our day, we give thanks for the ways your power has worked within us. As we prepare for SSUMC’s “Vision Week” next week, we pray that you would guide us. Lead us. And that we would listen to where you are leading us. We know your power to make disciples and to transform our world is boundless. Help us be a part of your vision here and now. Enliven our hearts, empower our spirits, help us be bold witnesses to your love in all that we do. We pray in the name and power of Jesus, Amen.
