The missions & outreach team at Sandy Springs UMC offers members and guests of all ages and abilities the opportunity to get involved in reaching out to the community.  We work with many community groups and organizations to reach out and share the love of God in tangible ways.

Backpack Buddies

Our Backpack Buddies program helps feed food-insecure families over the weekend by sending kids home from school with extra food on Fridays. You can help by staying after church starting Sunday, Sept. 29, and helping pack food or helping deliver the food to a local elementary school on Thursdays. Pajama Drive for CHOA

Help keep patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Hospitals warm this winter season with a donation of pajamas! In partnership with our local Boy Scout Troop, we are accepting donations of pajamas (Infant, Children, and Adult sizes) starting in November. Donations will be accepted into marked bins in the lobby on Sunday mornings and Mondays through Thursdays 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Questions? Email Emma Palmer: epalmer@ssumc.org
