Christmas Eve + Nativity Play
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given…” All children (pre-K to 5th grade) are invited to participate for our Annual Christmas Eve Nativity Play on Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. during Candlelight worship. Sign up at ssumc.org/children. You could be a shepherd or a sheep, an angel or the innkeeper—maybe even Mary or Joseph! Don’t miss out on this exciting and holy evening.
Sparkle Sandy Springs Parade Party
Our Sparkle Sandy Springs front-lawn party is back on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.! Sparkle Sandy Springs is the City’s annual holiday celebration with an award-winning nighttime parade! The parade steps off at 6 p.m. and goes in front of the church. Invite your friends and plan to join us for a great evening!
Advent Workshop
Advent, the season where we prepare for the birth of Christ, begins Dec. 1. Stay after worship at 11 a.m. as we prepare our hearts and homes to welcome the Christ Child. We’ll eat lunch together, and then engage in intergenerational activities.
Thanksgiving Potluck and Serve Sunday
Let’s give thanks and break bread together! Join your SSUMC community following worship on Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. for a Thanksgiving Potluck meal and serve sunday in the Fellowship Hall. The church will provide sliced ham. Please plan to bring a side or dessert to share.
Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat at Sandy Springs UMC on Oct. 27 from 5-6pm! Put on your Halloween costume and trick or treat with our church and community friends in the church parking lot. Enjoy games, food, and festive activities. We will even have a contest for the best-decorated trunk! Learn more below.

Our Fall Fest Kickoff is Sunday, Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Start the autumn season off right with beautiful worship, including special music by our children, followed by lunch, games, and connection on the front lawn!
Animal Blessing
"God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good." (Gen. 1:31) Join us on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 4 p.m. on the church front lawn for a Blessing of the Animals. All creatures are welcome (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, reptiles, pigs, birds). Water and treats will be available.
