Join us Sunday, Oct. 13 from 5-6:30 p.m. for food, fellowship, and faithful conversation.
This week we’re considering racial justice with Carol Allums. At one time, Carol Allums practiced law—first at a law firm and then as general counsel of a real estate development firm—before she decided to stay at home with her three children. Now that her kids are adults, Carol spends much of her time volunteering. Much of that volunteer work is for and through her church, Glenn Memorial UMC.
Carol is currently chair of the Justice Team and of the Racial Justice Caucus, and is a member of the Chancel Choir. She is also a member of the North Georgia Conference Commission on Religion and Race, the Reparations Task Force, and the Resolutions Committee. At the district level, she is a South Central District Committee on Ordained Ministry member.
When she is not busy at church, Carol can be found reading, gardening, or singing with the Emory University Chorus.
Cost: $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
