Explore Membership Coffee

Have you been considering joining SSUMC? Praying about how God is calling you to be involved in the life of our community? If you’re ready to take the next step and vow to be a part of this faith community with your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness, we’d love for you to join us on Easter Sunday.

In the early church, newcomers were baptized and welcomed into the church on Easter as a sign of new life and an embodied celebration of the resurrection. A group of people are joining on Easter, and you can be part of this sharing in the gift of new beginnings.

Talk to Kate or Emma about joining the church over coffee and snacks on Sunday, March 17 before worship at 10 a.m. in the Heritage room (down the hallway from the Sanctuary).

Ash Wednesday Worship

Ash Wednesday, the start of the Lent, is on Feb. 14. Worship will be at 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Lent is the church season before Easter when we spend six weeks journeying with Jesus toward the cross, and ultimately toward resurrection. It’s a time when followers of Jesus seek to let go of all the things that keep us from centering our lives in God. As we do so, we fill up with love, hope, and abundance, so that we are ready for new life on the other side. Join us this Lent as we work to "Let It Go!" and make room for God.
